Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are your weekend services like?
Each weekend at 316 Church you'll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music. A printed outline for notes and a large-screen PowerPoint presentation help you make the most of the practical and relevant message. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and preschool, along with an exciting and fun-filled grade school small group and large group program.
2. What will happen when I visit for the first time?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and "be anonymous" for a while-and that's fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
3. What do I wear to attend your services?
You'll find everything from jeans and tee-shirts to business casual outfits and an occasional tie at our worship service. Come in what is comfortable for you, because 316 is not about what you look like or what you wear.
4. Where are you located?
We presently meet in Hickory High School off of Battlefield Blvd in Chesapeake, Va. You can get specific directions from our Service times and Directions page.
5. What about my children?
At 316 Church your children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We also offer a dynamic grade school ministry called High Voltage as well as life-changing ministry to Middle School students called IGNITE. High School Student ministry coming soon!
6. How can I meet others and get connected?
There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending 316 Connect. 316 Connect is our new member's class that meets on a quarterly basis. The 2010 dates for 316 Connect are February 21, May 16, August 15, and November 14. A better way to meet people and get connected is through our small groups which meet weekly. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.
