God is Powerful
Genesis 1:1 - "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth"
Exodus 14:21 - "Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land."
God is Creative
Genesis 1 - "Then God said, "Let there be light", and there was light."
Exodus 13:21 - "The Lord went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by night."
Joshua 6:3-5 - "Your entire army is to march around the city once a day for six days...on the seventh day you are to march around the city seen time...then the walls of the city will collapse..."
God is Involved
Creation, flood, plagues, exodus, pillar of fire, pillar of cloud, manna, parting of the waters, giving of the law, creation of the tabernacle, bringing down city walls...on and on and on.
God is For You
Joshua 1:9 - "Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Romans 8:31 - "What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?"
God is Power, Creative, Involved, and God is For You. What does this mean for you and me?
It means there is HOPE! It doesn't matter what you have done in the past. It doesn't matter what happened yesterday. It doesn't matter where you find yourself today. It doesn't matter how worried you are about tomorrow. There is hope because there's a God who loves and values and believes in us more than we can imagine.
